Tyrone Lee to launch debut album "Invitation" as he returns to top West End show Thriller live!
Tyrone Lee is lead vocalist in the international hit musical “Thriller Live” with audience figures of over 2 million people and he has performed in over 18 countries, more recently in Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. He now returns to “Thriller Live” at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London.
Tyrone, from Thornton Heath, was a lead vocalist for the world-renowned jazz funk outfit Incognito. Alongside recording with them he has also recorded his own eagerly awaited debut solo album “Invitation”, which enjoyed pole position in the specialist UK Soul Chart.
Like many leading vocalists Tyrone began singing in church performing with groups and choirs where he gained valuable training and experience. It was whilst singing in a local church concert that he was spotted by Fame Academy judge and music coach David Grant and was invited to lend his vocal support to a variety of UK and US artists such as Gary Barlow, Peter Andre, Blur, Leona Lewis, Robert Palmer, Joe Thomas, M-People, Heather Small, Emeli Sande, Westlife and the vocal behemoth Meat Loaf.
Tyrone’s writing talent was quickly spotted as he penned songs on various dance music projects as well as The So Solid Crew’s Lisa Mafia’s solo album giving him his first UK to 20.
