GUY FLETCHER RELEASES HIS DEBUT ALBUM “INAMORATA” FEATURING
Guy Fletcher has enjoyed huge success with Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler from their 30 million selling ‘Brothers in Arms’ album. It was one of the first albums to be released on CD and remains a highly revered and iconic album of the 1980’s.
Since starting out in 1981 with Roxy Music for their ‘Avalon’ tour Guy collaborated with Mark Knopfler on various movie soundtracks including ‘Cal’ and ‘Comfort and Joy’, and went on to work with Dire Straits and on Mark Knopfler projects including movie soundtracks such as ‘Last Exit to Brooklyn’, ‘The Princess Bride’ and ‘Wag The Dog’.
He recently took on several film scores of his own including a 72-minute orchestral score for 'Tooth', 'Niagara Motel', 'Spirit Trap' and 'Sergeant Pepper' and he scored movies and TV series including ‘At Home With The Braithwaites’ and ‘Robbie The Reindeer’.
Guy has collaborated with the likes of Tina Turner, Mick Jagger, Aztec Camera, Difford and Tillbrook and continues to collaborate with Mark Knopfler; working alongside Emmylou Harris in the studio and on the Real Live Road Running tour; and as a performer and co-producer of Mark Knopfler’s acclaimed ‘Kill To Get Crimson’ album and world tour.
